Sacral Chakra, part three

The Sacral Chakra, or Svadhishthana, is the center of enjoyment, pleasure and creativity. This part of the series will give you ideas on how to unblock this center.

Getting out in nature is a great way to not only unblock the sacral but all your chakras. Appreciating the beauty that surrounds you can open your creative channels and spark your imagination. Inspiring you to be creative.

I’ve mention journaling before but did you know you can create an art journal as well?  Put anything you want in it. Just keep adding until your satisfied.  Go by pictures you draw or scrap from magazines or simply add color. Whatever inspires you.

Exercise is another great tool for sparking your zest for life and the relationships in it. Yoga has many asanas you can use such as child’s pose, forward bend, plank and bridge.

Try incorporating oranges into your wardrobe or interior living spaces.

Use crystals such as citrine or carnelian to help open your sacral. Carry them or meditate with them.

Essential oils can also help. Ylang-ylang, patchouli, orange and sandalwood are good oils to start.

Also orange foods such as carrots, oranges, pumpkin, etc.

Sacral Chakra, part two

The Mantra for the Sacral Chakra is Vam, pronounced Vum. The purpose of mantras are to focus your mind on the sound and to regulate your breathing while in meditation. This practice helps to still the mind.

Above is the Mudra for the Sacral Chakra. Mudras are simple gestures that position your hands and fingers into certain locks that have come from the ancient art of yoga. They are used for building up and clearing the energies of the chakras. The word “mudra” in Sanskrit means “seal” or “gesture”. These gestures help to compliment the flow of energy through the chakra vortex your working with.

Now to help clear the Sacral Chakra, a nice calming meditation would definitely help. So light an orange candle if you have one. Light some incense if you’d like and put on some light back ground music of chimes or singing bowls. Whatever helps you to de stress.

Sit in a comfortable position, either sitting in lotus or lying down,  (I tend to fall asleep when using this position lol) take three deep breaths to help bring your awareness to the meditation your about to begin and relax your body. Position your hands linked together with pinky’s straight up, as in the pic above, and let them lie softly on your lap or tummy if lying down. Now with your breath practice saying the Sacral mantra Vam. Inhale deeply and in your exhale softly and gently let Vam fall from your lips. It will get easier with practice. Focus on this. If your mind wanders just bring your attention back to the mantra. Visualize an orange glow circling under your belly button where your Sacral is located. Keep focused for 5-10 mins at first and with time bring it up to 15 or even 20 minutes for best results.

Namaste my lovelies.

Blessed be, Jill

REIKI

Hello again. I know I’ve been away for some time now but I took a break for a very important course I wanted to complete and devote my time to. Something that I wanted to do for the benefit of all of us. ….

KUNDALINI REIKI!

I am now a Kundalini Reiki Master Level 3 and I am so excited to share this with you all!

Reiki is a very important tool to be able to clear our energy fields, minds, bodies and environments. Even past lives and blockages! It uses the life force energy of Mother Earth which I have gratefully been attuned to and will use for the greater good of all.

I’ll be combining these energies with the added energies of crystals and will be offering in home sessions and long distance session. Long distance is just as powerful as if we are in the same room. All that is needed from you is an acceptance to bring the energies in.

Im thrilled to be able to finally do this as it has been my dream to heal people and animals for some time now!

I have had some wonderful experiences with cats and dogs! They love to get these sessions and the owners see remarkable improvements in their mobilization and moods.

Most people notice a heat or tingle when being given the reiki energy and can feel either sleepy or energized afterward. It has miraculous results and is very good for you and your energy field. Even if you think you have nothing to clear.

I’ll be using this platform to offer the sessions. It may take me awhile to set this up technology wise, but I’ll be working on it LOL. In my next post I’ll be continuing the chakras with part two of the Sacral Chakra. Talk to you all soon.

In light and love, Jill

PS. Some positive vibes sent my way to help me on my computer skills would be appreciated 😂

Sacral Chakra, part one

The Sacral Chakra is represented by the Water element. It deals with our emotions and creativity.

The symbol of this chakra is an orange lotus with six petals. A crescent Moon rests along its bottom half.

The Svadhisthana or Sacral Chakra is located just below our belly buttons. It pertains to our emotions, how we feel and how we create. Our imaginations and our sense of belonging are also affected by the health of this energy center. If this chakra becomes blocked we could experience a lack of desire and illness. An out of balance Sacral Chakra can result in the following symptoms;

* insecurity and shyness

* hormone imbalances

* addictions and excessive indulging

* being withdrawn and fearful

* needy and emotionally unstable

* having sexual problems

* UTI’s

* low libido and depression

* feelings of guilt and being unforgiving

The Sacral being located in our stomachs creates more than enough space to hold stress. In fact stress causes the hormone cortisol to build up. And where do you think most of that cortisol goes? Yep your stomach area. So to release the main causes of these dis-eases you need to de-stress yourself. If you can do that than your Sacral becomes balanced and you may experience the following;

* the ability to enjoy and let go

* healthy reproductive organs

* more active libido

* more energy and life force

* enjoy intimacy and sensuality

* grace and compassion

* maintain stable blood sugar

* being joyful and friendly

* having healthy connections with others

* you make space for beauty in your life

* you are comfortable with your body and your sexuality

De-stressing is just one way to balance your Sacral Chakra. In part two I will give you more tools you can utilize to create a more happy healthier you!

Namaste beautiful people,

Jill

Root Chakra, part three

The Root or Muladhara Chakra is the foundation to all other energy vortexes in our bodies. Just as the foundation of a house is crucial so is the “foundation” of our energy bodies.

Part three will give you more ways to open your Root Chakra.

*Being that the Root Chakra is deeply associated with the Earth element, the most important thing to do is connect to nature. Go for a grounding walk, that’s barefoot guys, it really helps to feel the Earth beneath you. Get out in the forest or nearest park to experience the vibrations of the trees. Hug a tree and you will see what I mean. I feel pulses going through their trunks when I am doing my tree hugging. Its an awesome feeling! To feel the life surging through such massive living things, knowing their age is well over my life-time, phew, brings chills up and down my spine. Lets not forget that the root system on trees is just as large if not larger than their visible branches above. They are entwined and connected with each other, some say they can communicate too. I wouldn’t doubt it. It is a scientific fact that trees can tell each other when one is infested with a disease or insects of some kind. Notifying each other of the danger. Wild right? Nature is AWESOME and we as humankind should be the protectors of it.

*Use specific crystals for balancing the Root. There are many grounding crystals but the best for opening and clearing the Root Chakra is the Red Jasper, Black Tourmaline and Black Obsidian. Red Jasper is a wonderful way to enhance vitality, and sexual passion.Black Tourmaline is a great grounding stone and a superb protection from negative energies. Black Obsidian is used to cleanse negative energy and protection against psychic attack. Others worth a mention are Red Tiger’s Eye, Hematite, Red Carnelian, and Fire Agate.  Use these crystals anytime of day by carrying them with you or when you are meditating. You should place them as near to the Root Chakra as possible.

*Another way to balance the root is to just dance to the music lol, Turn on your favorite jam and just start shaking that booty! And as they say dance like nobody is watching. Its great exercise as well.

*Essential Oils are another way to obtain healthy vibrations. Use earthy scents to activate your root energy. Patchouli, Cedarwood, Sandalwood, and Frankincense to heal and balance. These suggested are easily obtainable. And do not forget to use a carrier oil with a few drops of essential oil added to it if putting on your skin. Some oils are too potent to use directly without the carrier. Good carrier oils are coconut, grapeseed, jojoba among others.

*Plan a garden or do yardwork to get your hands in the dirt. It will help to ground you. lol (pun intended)

*Be mindful. Remember that like brings like. If you are thinking about what you DON’T have you’re actually just bringing in more of what you don’t have. If you start thinking positively you will bring more abundance to your life. Be grateful for what you already have.

*Try to declutter and get organized. I know its easier said then done but structure and organization make you feel better. It gives you space to realize what’s important. Not only will you feel better but it allows other new things to enter your life. When you get rid of the old, you open doors to let the new in.

*Do yoga. Please don’t think right away “Oh, I can’t do yoga. My body doesn’t move that way.” Yoga is for Every Body! And yoga is more than just the asanas, much more. But there are asanas (positions) that you can do to open and activate the energy of the Root Chakra which is what we are discussing now. Also there are ways to modify all the asanas for different fitness levels. The Warrior One and Warrior Two poses are good for the root. The Pyramid. The Mountain Pose. The Easy Pose or Lotus. All good, stable asanas to ground you.

*Wear red 🙂 Absorb the color. Close your eyes. Imagine it surrounding you. Breathe it in. A few minutes of this will do wonders.

*Journal. Journaling is good for everything in life but with the Root Chakra in mind you can ask yourself how you keep yourself grounded or how you can increase stability in your life. How you still follow old habits or maybe how you live and feel about being alive in this world today. Do you feel safe? Do you feel like you need a change? And then just keep writing. Don’t think, just write. Write whatever pops into your head. This helps us to find who we really are and find ways to fix ourselves and create the change we need to help us feel safe and secure.

*My last suggestion is the diet you consume. Healthy fruits and vegetables are always the way to go, but there are foods specific to the vibrational levels of the Root Chakra. Remember everything is made of energy. I believe that’s why allot of people don’t eat mammals because the animal has been through the trauma of not being respected during their lives and sent to a horrible, torturous death. So sad. The energy retained in them is detectable and not good for our energy vibrations.

*Eggs, (I could live on them) are good for the Muladhara Chakra. Tofu, soy, beans, all root vegetables such as carrots, potato (white and sweet), beets, rainbow chard.  Not to .mention anything that is red lol. Cherries, radishes, radicchio, strawberries, watermelon, raspberries, apples and the list goes on…..  Notice I didn’t say red meat?  Food is best for you when it has a high water content. Like fruits and vegetables do.

I hope you enjoyed these sections on the Root Chakra.  I will be doing a section on each of the seven major chakras before moving on to anything else. But please remember to contact me in comments if there is something you would like me to talk about.

The bright orange of the Sacral Chakra will be next in my line of info.

Stay healthy, be safe and never change for anyone but yourself.

Namaste,

Jill

The Art of Smudging

It has come to my attention that I should elaborate on just what smudging is. So before going onto part three of the Root Chakra, I will be explaining the in’s and out’s of smudging.

It is basically just igniting some herbs or incense and then blowing out the flame to create smoke to purify you, others or your space. This clears the air of any negative vibes. You may also smudge your pets surroundings, but please do so with common sense. If your pet starts to squint or suddenly starts coughing or sneezing, please STOP immediately!

The traditional herb used is white sage. This is what I myself use as I love the scent. But I have seen other types of herbs used as well. You can either use the herb crushed up and put into an ashtray of sorts or use it in stick form such as the next image portrays. Sticks are helpful if you want to smudge a large area or want it to last a long time. But remember to always carry a dish under it for safety sake.

I use a seashell to put my crushed herbs in, as do allot of others, but any non-flammable holder would work. But by using a seashell you incorporate all of the four elements. Seashell representing Water, the herbs represent the Earth, Fire is obvious and the smoke represents the Air element.

Smudging is a very easy and effective way to “clear the air” as we say lol. It can be done anytime and anywhere. It is mostly always done before any ritual or meditation. It is safe and is an advised method to use if there are any mishaps or arguing going on in your home that just doesn’t feel right to you. You just might need a clearing of energies and all will be well again.

Please, as always, safety first when using fire, this is not an activity for a young child.

Be safe and as Kansas says “All we are is dust in the wind.”

Love and Light, Jill
